UK car competitions, by the numbers.
Pick a car and compare its competitions side by side: the ticket price, the odds if every ticket sells, and when it closes. Every listing shows when we last read it from the operator's own site.

How it works
- 01
Pick the car
Search a make or model, or choose one. Every listing is matched to the make, model and variant, so a search for a Golf R finds Golf Rs, not every Golf.
- 02
Compare the numbers
Ticket price, the odds if every ticket sells, how many have sold and when it closes, side by side. Each listing shows when we last read it from the operator.
- 03
Enter on the operator's site
CompDex doesn't sell tickets. When you pick a competition, you buy from the operator, on its own site, under its own terms.
Tell me when one appears
Tell us the car, even if nobody is offering it today. Once CompDex is live, you get one email a day, at the same time each day, listing the live competitions for it.
Change or stop it from a link in any email. No account needed.
Alerts start when CompDex opens. Until then, this form is switched off.
What the odds mean
"1 in 99,999 if every ticket sells" means each ticket is one of 99,999. Buy 10 and your chance is about 1 in 10,000. If fewer tickets sell, your chance is better than that.
What every listing shows
- What you win
- The car, down to the variant: a Golf R, not just a Golf.
- Cash alternative
- If the operator offers one. If it only states a value, we show it as the operator's. CompDex doesn't value cars itself.
- Ticket price
- The price of one ticket. Where tickets only come in bundles, what each one works out at.
- Tickets sold
- Out of the maximum. Checked every 3 hours, and every hour in the last 24 hours before it closes.
- Odds
- Your chance with one ticket if every ticket sells: 1 in the maximum number of tickets.
- When it closes
- The closing time in UK time, from the operator's own page. The draw follows on the operator's own schedule.
- Free entry route
- Whether the operator shows a free way to enter, and where to find it.
- Who can enter
- The age limit and where you need to live, from the operator's terms.
- Government code
- Whether the operator is on the GOV.UK list of signatories to the government's voluntary code for prize draw operators, with the date of that list.
- Last checked
- When we last read the operator's page. Every listing shows this time.
Run a UK car competition site?
We list a site's competitions when its terms allow it, or when the operator tells us yes in writing.
Matched to the exact car
Your competitions are matched to the exact car, so someone searching for a Golf R finds your Golf R.
Sent to your site
Every listing links straight to the competition on your site. Entries and payments stay with you.
Kept current
We read your page every 3 hours, and every hour in the last 24 hours, so buyers see your latest sold count with the time we checked it.
Questions
Does CompDex sell tickets?
No. CompDex lists competitions and links to them. You buy tickets from the operator, on the operator's own site.
Is this gambling?
In Great Britain, a prize competition is not a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005 when it sets a genuine test of skill or offers a genuine free way to enter. CompDex runs no competitions and takes no money. We show whether each operator displays a free entry route, but we don't judge whether a competition is lawful. Northern Ireland has its own rules.
Where do the figures come from?
From each operator's own website, read every 3 hours, and every hour in the last 24 hours before a competition closes. Every listing shows when we last checked it. If a figure and the operator's page disagree, the operator's page is the one that counts.
How do you work out the odds?
We show 1 in the maximum number of tickets: your chance with one ticket if every ticket sells. If fewer sell, your chance is better. Where an operator doesn't state a maximum, we say so instead of guessing.
Why isn't my favourite site listed?
We list a site only when its terms allow automated reading, or the operator has told us yes in writing. At launch that is a small number of sites, and we add more as operators say yes.
Is CompDex free?
Searching, comparing and alerts cost you nothing.
